Education and training
Dr. Samimi grew up in Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Georgia State University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
After dental school he completed surgical internships at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He then entered the University of Cincinnati's oral and maxillofacial surgery training program and, in his final year, served as chief resident.
The residency ran through several hospitals, including the VA Medical Center and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He treated patients from childhood through older age. That training covered general anesthesia, reconstruction after facial trauma and pathological defects, orthognathic surgery, TMJ disorders, dental implants, and facial aesthetic procedures.
How he practices
His surgical practice covers the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular attention to dental implant reconstruction, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ disorders, facial trauma, benign pathology, and facial aesthetics.
